Logistics Management
Integration and Collaboration
I t is recognized and
accepted that the Janbury Logistics Management Team primary
objective is to provide “project specific” support activities, essential to the
construction process. To facilitate those support activities, early workshops
may be required to identify and prioritize activities, establish policies and
formulate strategies. Only after open discussion and collaboration of project
goals and objectives are fully understood and appreciated, can Logistics
Management be integrated into the total project delivery strategy.
Product and Service Quality
W e believe that the
Janbury Logistics Management Team must be able to communicate and coordinate
all activities critical to project logistics with Subcontractors and Suppliers.
The intent is not to circumnavigate and/or negate the authority of Construction
Management but instead is intended to anticipate, facilitate and expedite their
logistical requirements.
It is only when these relevant team members acknowledge and
accept that a Logistics Management System has been established will the
efficiencies of productivity and safety be realized.
Supply Chain
W e recognize that there is
always considerable opportunity to improve performance within the supply chain.
Our approach has been to source and select suppliers, who are capable, innovate,
committed and have a wealth of experience on other major developments.
Additionally, Janbury solicits and engages local as well as national
suppliers to ensure we can deliver the best services possible. Together with
our valued suppliers we are capable of fulfilling the “project essentials”
support activities to the construction process.
People
O ur team is selected for
their individual experience, skills and expertise relevant to each project’s
specific logistical requirements. Not only do we evaluate our people for their
technical qualification but also for their “people and communication” skills.
It is critical to the logistics process that personalities mesh in a team
environment. The combined strengths of the Janbury Logistics Management
Team and Construction Management will ultimately result in a synergy
capable of producing greater cost efficiencies, product quality and safety.
